Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients and caregivers to prepare for transport.
• Verifies patient identity and transport orders with staff and ensures paperwork is complete.
• Provides safe, courteous, age-appropriate transport to and from hospital areas.
• Assists in loading luggage and belongings and escorts patients to vehicles.
• Ensures patients are properly covered during transport with blankets or sheets.
• Performs as a Patient Logistics Dispatcher when needed and coordinates with care areas.
