Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Transport Technician to mobilize and transport ambulatory patients, specimens, medications, and equipment within the hospital. You will assist nursing staff in transfers, support patient safety, and help prepare patients for procedures and discharges.

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma preferred as educational background.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Reads, writes, and understands English; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient transport duties including ambulatory transfers, test procedures, and discharges.
• Transports equipment, medications, and supplies; cleans and maintains equipment.
• Works collaboratively with nursing and care teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Prioritizes tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment; adheres to safety standards.
