Bayhealth Kent Campus seeks a Patient Transport Technician II to move patients and equipment across hospital areas, maintaining service quality and patient safety. You will work with clinical staff to ensure timely, compassionate transportation and cleanliness of equipment.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to infection control, and collaboration with nursing and support teams. High School diploma or GED and Basic Life Support are required, with six months of customer service

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Credential: Basic Life Support - Within 90 days.
• Experience: Six months of customer service experience.
• Preferred: Previous experience in an acute care facility.

Responsabilités

• Maintains departmental policies, objectives, quality assurance and safety standards.
• Performs duties following quality improvement principles and high-reliability practices.
• Delivers high-quality patient transport services and meets customer/department metrics.
• Cleans and processes equipment for patient-ready use per protocols.
• Transport patients safely with assistance for transfer, positioning and ambulation.
• Distributes equipment, maintains inventory, and reports needed repairs.
• Monitors patient condition and responds during emergencies.
• Ensures patient safety and proper attachment of medical equipment.
• Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
