Job summary

Tufts Medicine’s Melrose/Wakefield Hospital is seeking an entry‑level Transport Technician to move patients between departments on a day shift. You will support patient transport needs, check patient IDs, and assist care teams with equipment transfers.

This role emphasizes safety, communication, and teamwork in a fast‑paced hospital environment. The position offers full‑time hours (40/wk), a day shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and benefits beginning on day one, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior healthcare experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely to destinations in a timely manner.
• Assist staff with lifting and transferring patients.
• Notify nursing staff on patient arrival and verify patient identification.
• Ensure equipment is disinfected and stored after use.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety procedures.
