Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Support Associate for the Environmental Services team at Monmouth Medical Center in Tinton Falls, NJ. This full-time, hourly role supports patient care areas by cleaning, transporting, and preparing the OR environment during day shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient positioning, handling surgical prep, and stocking supplies while ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inventory control techniques and housekeeping experience preferred.
• Candidates should be comfortable performing physically active work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning emergency spills as needed.
• Assist with patient positioning under RN direction.
• Assist with patient surgical preparation.
• Clean OR suites after procedures.
• Transport equipment from storage to OR room.
• Maintain inventory levels of housekeeping supplies; restock as needed.
• Stock OR attire (hats, masks, shoe covers, warming jackets) before day starts.
• Transport patients as needed; transport specimens to Pathology as needed.
