RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Patient Support Associate for the Environmental Services team at Monmouth Medical Center in Tinton Falls, NJ. This full-time, hourly role supports patient care areas by cleaning, transporting, and preparing the OR environment during day shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient positioning, handling surgical prep, and stocking supplies while ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met.

Competenze

Knowledge of inventory control techniques and housekeeping experience preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable performing physically active work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Mansioni

Assist with cleaning emergency spills as needed.
Assist with patient positioning under RN direction.
Assist with patient surgical preparation.
Clean OR suites after procedures.
Transport equipment from storage to OR room.
Maintain inventory levels of housekeeping supplies; restock as needed.
Stock OR attire (hats, masks, shoe covers, warming jackets) before day starts.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

As a Patient Support Associate, a typical day might include the following:

Assisting in cleaning emergency spills observed or upon request
Assisting with patient positioning under the direction of the RN
Assisting with patient surgical preparation.
Cleaning OR suites following procedures
Transporting equipment from ancillary storage locations to the OR room
Maintaining inventory levels on all housekeeping supplies; stocking supplies as required in locker rooms and restrooms
Stocking OR attire to include hats, masks, shoe covers and warm up jackets prior to the start of day
Transporting patients as needed
Transporting specimens to Pathology as needed

This full-time day position is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes rotating weekends and holidays. Experience working within Joint Commission and Department of Health standards is a plus.
