Job summary

Accompany Health is seeking a Patient Support Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, delivering courteous service, accurate routing, and timely resolution of needs. You will document interactions in the EMR and coordinate with clinical and administrative teams.

This contract role requires at least 2 years in healthcare customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with patients.
• Flexible and positive attitude, capable of handling changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls promptly and follow workflows to resolve questions or route to the correct department.
• Document all calls, messages, and follow-ups in the EMR and other systems with accuracy.
• Make outbound calls for scheduling, patient follow-up, and targeted call campaigns.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and internal privacy standards.
• Meet or exceed performance metrics including handle rate, routing accuracy, and SLA adherence.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient transitions and handoffs.
