Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Patient Support Coordinator to deliver best-in-class service to patients, providers and payors. You will be the first point of contact for inquiries related to prescriptions, billing and program information, setting the tone for how Walgreens and its services are experienced.

The role involves coordinating with clinical teams, triaging calls, educating on payer programs, and ensuring privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Clear, effective written and verbal communication; able to maintain confidentiality.
• Basic PC skills: Windows, MS Office; comfortable using standard software.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls and outbound calls to patients or physician offices regarding orders for medications and services.
• Triage calls to clinician, insurance verification, and specialized teams as needed.
• Update patient profiles with demographics, insurance and relevant information.
• Educate on Medicare payer programs and copay assistance enrollment.
• Process voicemails and emails distribution as needed.
• Provide patient outreach and education for specialized programs.
