Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories / Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a skilled phlebotomist to lead mobile diagnostics efforts in the Phoenix area. This night-shift role focuses on excellent patient care and collaboration with field phlebotomists to ensure accurate testing and prompt service.

You will work 2 AM to 10:30 AM, serve as liaison between staff and Patient Services management, and support regulatory compliance while delivering compassionate customer service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of phlebotomy/test management experience in a clinical laboratory.
  • Strong problem solving and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, accrediting, and compliance requirements.
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • ADHS fingerprinting certification or ability to obtain fingerprinting certification.
  • IOP placement requires execution of Confidential Information and Restrictive Covenant Agreement.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company auto insurance policy.

Responsibilities

We are in need of a skilled phlebotomist focused on excellent patient diagnostic care who is passionate about providing leadership to our field phlebotomists working with our valuable patients for mobile diagnostics division. This role is critical to ensure top notch care for a patient population that needs special attention. This role will work 2AM to 10:30 AM leaving the rest of your day free and will offer you a shift differential.

POSITION SUMMARY

Position is actively responsible for an assigned department, serving as initial resource and communication liaison between immediate staff, other departments and Patient Services management. Assists, resolves, and reports to and under the guidance of the area Supervisor. Performs all technical or administrative work at an advance level of competency and efficiency. Actively involved with patient and process quality improvement while remaining compliant with regulatory agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education consistent with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of the clinical laboratory in the areas of test management/phlebotomy, as normally demonstrated through two (2) years’ of experience within the clinical laboratory in phlebotomy/test management area.
  • Ability to perform complex problem solving and leadership skills required.
  • Communicates effectively in oral and written formats and delivery of information.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory, accrediting, and compliance requirements.
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Placement in Mobile/Long Term Care department requires ADHS Fingerprinting Certification or the ability to obtain fingerprinting certification.
  • IOP placement requires execution of “Confidential Information and Restrictive Covenant Agreement”.
  • May require a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous management experience or participation in management training programs.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • National phlebotomy certification.
