Job Overview

Patient Services Supervisors are responsible for overseeing duties related to the receipt, interpretation, and follow-through of patient diet orders in hospital and long-term care settings. Acts as a liaison between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services. Supports and leads other Patient Services Workers.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $25.00/hr (fixed)

Responsibilities

1. Supervise Patient Services Workers during meal service, ensuring timely delivery of nourishments and snacks as ordered.
2. Introduce services to patients and gather food preferences/dislikes.
3. Communicate patient food needs to relevant departments.
4. Ensure nutrition diet care orders are followed and provide appropriate menu options.
5. Maintain sanitation standards and complete assigned cleaning tasks.
6. Lead, train, and support Patient Services Workers.
7. Manage inventory and restock supplies.
8. Maintain temperature logs for refrigerators and freezers.
9. Understand therapeutic diets and assist clinical staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Services Supervisor required
• Leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Proficiency in English; bilingual abilities preferred

Physical Demands

May include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, standing, and use of PPE.
