Job summary

Neighborcare Health in Seattle’s Lake City & Magnuson clinics seeks a Patient Services Representative. You will greet patients, check them in, schedule appointments, and collect updated information for the EHR, serving as a friendly first point of contact.

You’ll verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, assist with charts, and guide patients through free or sliding scale options. Must have a HS diploma and 1 year of customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and their families as they arrive, check in and assist with forms.
• Answer phones, confirm appointments, and route calls to staff as needed.
• Collect updated patient information for the electronic health record.
• Maintain front-desk areas, files, and provider templates as required.
• Check insurance eligibility and scan Medicaid, Medicare and private plans.
• Collect co-pays and fees; help close out cash drawer at day end.
• Schedule walk-in patients for same-day appointments and assist new patients.
• Explain sliding scale for self-pay patients and enter income data in EHR.
