Job summary

Neighborcare Health in Seattle, WA seeks a Patient Services Representative (Lake City, 1.0 FTE) to greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage front-desk operations. You will verify eligibility and enter accurate data into the EHR, while delivering a warm, patient-centered experience.

The role includes handling co-pays, assisting with information for population health efforts, and supporting care coordination as part of a clinical team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience is required.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and their families as they arrive in the clinic.
• Answers telephones, confirms appointments, and transfers calls as needed.
• Check in patients and collect updated patient information for the EHR.
• Maintain provider templates and appointment schedules as needed.
• Maintain front-desk areas and organize office files.
• Prepare charts and accounts daily as applicable.
• Check insurance eligibility and scan Medicaid, Medicare and private cards.
• Collect co-pays and fees; close out the daily drawer.
• Provide registration forms and instructions to new patients.
• Schedule walk-in patients for same-day appointments.
• Explain sliding scale policy to self-pay patients and enter income details into EHR.
