Job summary

Choptank Community Health is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for the Goldsboro Health Center. The role focuses on patient registration, scheduling, and customer service to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, copay collection, and data entry into the EHR and practice management system. Travel to multiple sites is required; this is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in medical settings (medical, dental, or behavioral health).
• Proficiency with technology and Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients professionally and provides quality customer service.
• Answer calls within three rings and follow scheduling procedures.
• Schedule patients according to templates and guidelines; manage appointment reminders and no-shows.
• Verify demographics, insurance eligibility, and update information in the EHR and practice management system.
• Collect copays and ensure receipts; assist with sliding fee enrollment and balances due.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and coordinate with clinical staff on patient flow.
• Travel to various sites as required and maintain front desk operations.
