BJC Medical Group is hiring a Patient Services Representative in Florissant, MO. The role is full-time, outpatient-focused, with no weekend or holiday requirements, and no call duties beyond standard front-office responsibilities.

Responsibilities include patient check-ins, appointment scheduling, and maintaining patient financial records, with a focus on smooth patient flow and accurate data entry across the clinic. Prior outpatient experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2–5 years of experience in an outpatient/front office setting is preferred.
• Outpatient medical office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on the applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, to include the assignment of diagnostic codes and the entering of all physician and clinic related charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.
