Job summary

FYidoctors of California is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator / Patient Services Specialist for our Atascadero clinics. You will welcome patients, manage check-in/out, coordinate appointments, and support billing and payments while ensuring a positive patient experience.

Role requires strong customer service, multi-tasking in a busy setting, and proficiency with MS Office. A high school diploma is preferred; previous retail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Our Atascadero - Morro Rd and San Luis Obispo clinics are looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as a Front Desk Coordinator/Patient Services Specialist! In this role, you’ll deliver exceptional service and support, enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic, and rewarding environment that values teamwork and collaboration.

This position is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. Our clinics are open Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage patient check-in and check-out and engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email
• Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts, and manage billing and payments
• Manage eyewear pick-ups and perform minor repairs and adjustments on eyewear
• Deliver exceptional customer service ensuring a positive patient experience
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required

What Do You Bring

• Previous retail experience is considered an asset
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences
• A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred

The expected starting compensation for this position is between $19.00 to $21.50 hourly, considering factors like experience, skills, and qualifications.
