Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative II for the Adult Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic. The role coordinates outpatient scheduling, greets patients, verifies insurance and collects payments, and supports EMR documentation to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 3+ years in customer service (6 months in a clinical setting), and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of customer service experience, including at least 6 months in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments by telephone or in person.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and manages referrals.
• Greets patients and processes payments/receipts.
• Maintains patient charts and uploads to EMR.
• Promotes the Patient Portal and coordinates referrals.
• Assists with financial conversations and payment plans.
• Coordinates multi-service appointments with care teams.
• Maintains confidentiality and supports quality improvements.
