Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking an on-site Registration and Scheduling associate at the St. George Surgery Center in Saint George, UT. You will support patient check-in, insurance verification, and pre-surgical coordination to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, handling calls, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate demographic and insurance data in the system. Prioritize confidentiality and professional ethics in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations.
• Strong information systems knowledge: Windows, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answer all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner.
• Respond to patients’ needs or direct them to the appropriate person.
• Take detailed messages and ensure the right recipients receive them.
• Obtain operational knowledge of the center to assist in triage.
• Ensure patient needs are handled timely and efficiently.
• On surgery day, enter patient charges and payments into the system.
• Collect unmet deductibles, coinsurance, co-pays and past-due balances.
• Maintain confidential handling of medical records and related communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
