Nashville General Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Representative for Pre-registration to join our daytime, full-time team. The role greets patients and ensures timely, accurate registrations while coordinating appointments and benefits verification.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in patient access, a high school diploma or higher, insurance verification and scheduling experience, and strong medical terminology. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in patient access, preferably in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• High School Diploma (Equivalent) or Higher.
• Hold insurance verification and healthcare scheduling experience.
• Experience with managed care health plans.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Excellent patient registration skills.
• Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient computer skills; internet, typing, data entry.

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Patient Access Representative for Pre-registration. This position is Full-time day!

The Patient Access Representative is the first line of quality service to our patients and our guests. This position serves as the ambassador of service, setting the standard. This position greets customers and subsequently provides the highest level of customer service possible.

As a Patient Access Representative, you will:

• Ensure timely and accurate registrations
• Schedule patients for appointments
• Complete benefit verification
• Provide patient education regarding benefits information
• Scan, Fax and work on appropriate authorizations
• Provide referrals for services

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience working in patient access, preferably a fast-paced healthcare environment
