Patient Services Representative (Medical Receptionist)

Overview

Piedmont Urgent Care is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented professional to join as a Patient Service Representative (PSR). You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a welcoming and efficient patient experience, and supporting front-office operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain confidentiality while managing patient and business documentation.
  • Verify insurance benefits, eligibility, and communicate payment policies.
  • Determine and collect patient financial responsibilities.
  • Support clinic staff and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Enforce healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Perform administrative duties and operate office medical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and laboratory requirements.
  • Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certification is a plus.
  • 1+ year experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and EMR software, EPIC preferred.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Friendly, proactive, and patient-focused approach.
