Job summary

Cape Cod Orthopaedics is seeking a patient services representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet visitors, verify insurance, register new patients, and help direct questions to the appropriate team.

This on-site role requires excellent communication, strong organization, and the ability to handle payments and scheduling with accuracy while maintaining HIPAA standards and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare customer service preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and scheduling software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Register new patients and update demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls while addressing patient questions and concerns.
• Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments in accordance with office policies.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure patient information is up to date.
• Coordinate with physicians, medical assistants, and other team members to support efficient patient flow.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting our providers and clinical staff in delivering exceptional orthopedic care.
