Join to apply for the PATIENT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE role at Morris Hospital.

Locations: Ottawa/Morris/Diamond Coal City Campus. Must be flexible with travel to multiple locations.

Type: Part-time, Benefit-Eligible. Average Hours per pay period: 48 hours every 2 weeks.

Description of Position

Under the supervision of the Supervisor or Healthcare Center Manager/Director, the Patient Service Representative provides clerical, secretarial, and receptionist support for the clinic independently with minimal supervision. Maintains records and reports, coordinates, processes, and reports insurance information. Performs assisted billing functions as directed by the Biller / Coder.

Qualifications

• Professional/Educational experience in Ambulatory Care Clinics preferred.
• Related College Classes preferred.
• CPR Certification strongly recommended.
• Proficiency in Personal Computer use and clerical/business office functions.
• Ability to teach and direct other office personnel.
• Effective teamwork, tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
• Experience in Ambulatory Clinics preferred.
• Ability to follow directions accurately.
• Desire to be part of a healthcare team dedicated to providing optimal patient care.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Maintains Standards of Conduct and proper communication channels.
