Job description

*MUST BE LOCATED IN THE PHOENIX, AZ AREA TO APPLY.* Equipment is provided but must be picked up in Phoenix, AZ (onsite work required on the first day).

*Hours of operation:* Mon-Fri, 6am to 6:30pm (AZ). Will work an 8-hour shift.

*Location:* Fully remote.

Description - Patient Service Representative
  1. Schedule and register patient appointments and provide information for requests such as addresses, directions, phone numbers, hours of operation, and other departments (e.g., billing).
  2. Process all communication requests via phone, fax, email, emphasizing efficiency and accuracy.
  3. Assist new members with introductions and explanations of available services, processes, and provider availability.
  4. Update patients on the status of their referrals or authorizations.
  5. Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls professionally. Schedule and cancel patient appointments across multiple providers.
  6. Follow department guidelines using phone scripts, clinical decision trees, and scheduling criteria.
  7. Use your knowledge to determine the appointment type and urgency, scheduling patients appropriately or routing calls as needed.
  8. Send accurate and complete communications to physicians and healthcare providers.
Qualifications
  • 1 year patient scheduling experience - Required
  • Medical Assistant experience - Required
  • Certification and/or Call Center experience - Highly preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish - Highly preferred
Pay and Benefits

The pay rate is $20.00/hr. Eligibility for benefits depends on employment status and other factors. Available benefits may include:
