You will verify insurance, process preauthorizations, collect copays, and support EMR workflows with a friendly, patient-first approach. The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and Microsoft Office skills; a high school diploma or GED is required, with BLS certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification may be required based on department.
• Experience in healthcare or patient services preferred.

Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for patient registration, scheduling, customer service and clerical support. Duties include accepting, recording and verifying insurance information, processing preauthorization requests, collecting copays and account balance payments, scanning documents into EMR and other administrative tasks related to the efficient operations of the department. Incumbents must ensure contact with patients, families, the community, vendors, coworkers and physicians are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.

Qualifications

Schedule: Mon - Thurs 12p - 8:30p, Friday 8:30a - 5p, Saturday alternating am 1/2 day.

The scheduled start and end times require flexibility to meet the needs of the practice.
