Job summary

Vanguard Medical Group in Verona, NJ is seeking a full-time Patient Services Representative to support the Verona office. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate appointments while collaborating with clinical staff. Evening and weekend availability is required. The base hourly rate ranges from $20.00 to $24.00, with potential discretionary bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office or front desk preferred.
• Experience in primary care is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Athena EMR and HIPAA requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk in a courteous, professional manner.
• Coordinate appointments and manage scheduling guidelines.
• Verify patient identity and insurance coverage during check-in/out.
• Collect co-payments and document payments in the EMR.
• Answer calls and route inquiries to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, organized front office and protect patient confidentiality.
