Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Manager/Sr. Manager, Patient Services Business Design to bridge strategy and execution. You will define end‑to‑end patient support processes and translate business goals into actionable capabilities across multiple functions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to optimize current state, drive consistency, and accelerate speed to market while ensuring regulatory and compliance alignment. Strong communication and cross‑functional leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working in patient services environment preferred.
• 5-7+ years working in healthcare, biopharma, or other regulated environments preferred on teams focused at the product indication, brand, and enterprise level.
• 5+ years translating business needs into solution design.
• 3+ years in Business Design, Business Architecture, Business Analysis, or Business Solutions Architecture.
• Proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects in a highly matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated ability to model business processes and develop capability maps, value stream maps, or operating models.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and structured problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to influence across diverse teams.
• Experience in a matrixed organization; healthcare or patient services experience is a plus.
• Must be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
• Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 hours in a day).

Responsibilities

• Translate Strategy into Execution: analyze goals; develop actionable plans connecting strategy to people, processes, and technology.
• Business Capability Mapping: identify and model capabilities and value streams; seek opportunities for improvement/cost savings.
• Process Design & Optimization: analyze processes, develop structured recommendations, and drive efficiency.
• Architecture Deliverables: produce and maintain capability models, operating models, gap analyses, and roadmaps.
• Cross‑Functional Alignment: provide tactical consultation for care model program processes.
• Stakeholder Communication: convey complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences; build senior leadership alignment.
