Jefferson Health is seeking a Unit Secretary to support patient care in our Cherry Hill, NJ location. You will perform clerical tasks, enter data into the hospital system, answer calls, and help coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges.

You will also assist with inventory and partner with clinical staff to ensure efficient unit operations. The ideal candidate has a year of secretarial experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong communication skills to engage patients,

Qualifications

• 1 year of secretarial & computer experience; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse patients and team members.
• Data entry into Hospital Information System and general clerical duties.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming calls and support unit operations.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges; schedule and track patient appointments.
• Maintain medical records and assist with unit inventory and equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.
