Qualifications

• Educational requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in patient-facing healthcare or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete full registration for patients requesting appointments with accuracy and attention to policies.
• Initiate pre-registration and ensure accurate demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance, benefits, and referral information.
• Obtain ID and insurance cards and validate patient identity and coverage.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy standards.
• Facilitate smooth patient flow through the care process.
• Provide appointment and payment policy information to patients.
• Offer upfront financial counseling and identify payment options.
• Inform patients of obligations and collect funds per guidelines.
• Serve as liaison for patients, physicians, and staff to resolve issues.
• Notify relevant parties about appointments, referrals, and authorizations.
• Train other patient services representatives and maintain excellent service.
• Comply with company policies and standards.
