Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED
• 2+ years experience in a patient-facing healthcare function or other customer service function preferred.
• Excellent English communication; bilingual a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and multiple electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete patient registrations for appointments with accuracy and attention to policy.
• Initiate pre-registration and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance, benefits, and referrals; validate patient identity and coverage.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards and protect patient privacy.
• Ensure smooth patient flow through the care process and communicate payment policies.
• Provide upfront financial counseling and discuss payment plans as needed.
• Inform patients of financial obligations and collect funds per guidelines.
• Assist physicians and staff, resolve issues, and train other PSR staff.
