Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a medical office setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical office software and CPT/ICD-9 coding processes; excellent verbal communication; ability to handle changing priorities; strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to interact with diverse individuals; maintain confidentiality; team player; initiative; basic medical terminology; EPIC proficiency; familiarity with payor billing requirements.
• Familiarity with practice specialty coding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process referrals at least 50% of the time or perform Dimensions super-user functions.
• Greet and check in patients for appointments.
• Record patient demographics, insurance information, charges and collections accurately and schedule appointments.
• Cross-train in multiple administrative support functions.
• Work within a team to achieve patient and team goals and communicate professionally with colleagues.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to continuous improvement.
