Job summary

The General Hospital Corporation’s Mass General Brigham unit is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator II at MGH Beacon Hill Primary Care in Boston, MA. This full-time position (40 hours) on the day shift onsite supports front-desk operations and patient flow.

You will welcome patients, handle scheduling and check-in, manage calls, and maintain accurate records in EPIC, while collaborating with physicians and administrative staff.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Office experience 2-3 years required.
  • Experience using EPIC scheduling, registration, and billing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients through scheduling, check-in, and check-out.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, and triage messages to the appropriate clinical team member.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate registration, appointment, billing, and medical record information in EPIC.
  • Process forms, scan documents, obtain medical records and test results, and distribute mail and faxes.
  • Handle messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
  • Serve as an EPIC scheduling, registration, and billing resource; training is provided.
  • Support colleagues with training and perform specialized scheduling functions as assigned.

Job Summary Patient Services Coordinator II — MGH Beacon Hill Primary Care Boston, MA | Full-time, 40 hours | Day shift | Onsite

What You’ll Do
  • Welcome and assist patients through scheduling, check-in, and check-out.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to routine questions, and triage messages to the appropriate clinical team member.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with all Office Suite, Knowledge of office operations and standards, and understanding of office procedures, including filing, copying, scanning, printing, and faxing.
  • Ability to use the phone system, manage more non-routine phone calls, and solve routine issues as appropriate.
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents, corresponding and communicating with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mails, memos, and letters), and taking complete and accurate messages.
  • Managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • Well-organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
