Job summary

Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator II for the MGH Beacon Hill Primary Care practice. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week onsite role supports physicians, nurses, and staff by delivering welcoming, efficient patient flow and accurate scheduling.

You will handle scheduling, check-in/out, registrations, billing, EPIC records, and routine inquiries, triage messages, and assist with prior authorizations and test results.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of office experience required.
  • Proficiency with Office Suite and general office procedures.
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients through scheduling, check-in, and check-out.
  • Answer calls, respond to routine questions, and triage messages to the appropriate clinical team member.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate registration, appointment, billing, and medical record information in EPIC.
  • Process forms, scan documents, obtain medical records and test results, and distribute mail and faxes.
  • Handle messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
  • Serve as an EPIC scheduling, registration, and billing resource; training is provided.
  • Support colleagues with training and perform specialized scheduling functions as assigned
