Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a clerical professional to support physicians, advanced practice providers and clinics within a busy health system.

A strong emphasis on customer service, organization, and clear communication is required; basic medical terminology and PC/software proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years clerical/office experience.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with excellent customer service.
• Basic medical terminology; proficient PC software; database management.
• Must complete required coursework; math & bookkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides specialized services to support operations of physicians, AP providers and clinics.
• May direct the work of other clerical employees.
