UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Patient Services Coordinator for the Truman Health Services Team in New Mexico. The role requires strong communication and teamwork to support primary care operations, appointments, and patient services.

Responsibilities include verifying insurance, scheduling, collecting co-pays, balancing cash, and coordinating deposits. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with compensation based on total experience in a full-time role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; higher degrees may substitute experience.
• Experience in fast-paced primary care clinic environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with verifying insurance and patient eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Reception and scheduling: manage check-in/out and appointment flow.
• Registration: verify demographics and insurance information in systems.
• Financial: collect co-pays, cash handling, and deposits; reconcile daily cash.
• Billing: process charges and coordinate with billing entries.
• Prior authorizations: verify coverage and obtain authorizations; maintain records.
