Job summary

PT Solutions Physical Therapy in Wytheville, VA seeks a Patient Service Coordinator to be the essential link between patients, providers, and insurers. You will verify insurance, obtain authorizations, coordinate referrals, and help optimize schedules to ensure seamless patient care.

The role requires 1–2 years of customer service (healthcare preferred) and a High School diploma or GED. Work hours are 8–5, full-time, with pay in the $16–$18/hour range plus incentives and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required (submission of diploma for highest level obtained will be required).
• 1-2 years of customer service experience; healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile patient payments and units billed while following HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow appropriate processes for Insurance Verification and/or benefits management.
• Obtain authorization and/or prior authorization.
• Over the counter collections and reconciliation of all charges weekly and monthly.
• Maintain relationships with patients, providers, clinicians, and internal operational departments.
