Planned Parenthood Of Greater Wa And Northern Id seeks a Health Care Assistant at the Walla Walla Health Center to provide warm front-desk service, support patient flow, and protect privacy and PHI.

The role emphasizes accurate EMR data entry, check-in/out tasks, explaining funding sources, and teamwork with the Health Center Manager to maintain efficient operations and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Ability to self-motivate and multi-task with excellent mental and physical dexterity while remaining focused with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to perform work accurately and with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in standard computer operating systems and standard office equipment and strong math skills.
• Flexibility in work schedule, including working early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays.
• Ability to read, write, speak, hear, and understand English.
• Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Family planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a positive, warm, caring, friendly manner.
• Safeguard the privacy and PHI of patients in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Provide excellent customer service demonstrating professionalism and courtesy.
• Verify check-in/check-out details; explain funding sources; schedule appointments.
• Explain FDA-approved birth control methods during dispensing encounters.
• Perform EMR data-entry and document handling accurately.
• Adhere to financial policies and maintain inventory.
• Collaborate with Health Center Manager to support clinic goals.
