At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), we’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Patient Services Coordinator to join our team in New Bern, NC. As a valued member of our collaborative and supportive team, you will work together to transform the lives of individuals by providing a comprehensive range of services that treat the whole person and empower patients to find their way forward.

What You’ll Do

As the Patient Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing administrative and clerical functions in a clinic that serves adults with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring conditions. The PSC will be a member of the administrative team handling inbound and outbound communications. Responsibilities include appointment scheduling, registration, collecting co-pays, answering patient inquiries, managing medical records, processing patient paperwork, and data collection. Providing excellent customer service to all patients and families visiting the clinic is of utmost importance.

What We’re Looking For

We seek candidates with knowledge of Electronic Health Records and insurance verification, with a high level of accuracy in documentation. Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with substance use and mental health populations preferred but not required
  • Previous medical office experience preferred but not required
  • Valid state driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles used for work
