Damar is looking for a talented and motivated Patient Services Coordinator that acts as medical administrative support staff for Damar Health Services. The Patient Services Coordinator oversees the scheduling and follow up of medical appointments, coordinates and schedules medical appointments. Performs medical billing and coding for Damar Medical Services providers.

Remarkable way you will make a difference...

  • Preparation of information that will be needed for patient visits.
  • When necessary, contacting patients for reminders of information that is required.
  • Confirm patient demographics and update any new or changed information regarding the patient, verify insurance coverage, scan required documents into patient's chart.
  • Collect Insurance co-payments, collect previous balances.
  • Checking patients in to clinic: includes having patients fill out forms completely, entering all patient information into EMR, and verifying patient insurance.
  • Answering phones to schedule patients, answer patient questions, and send messages to providers.
  • Direct calls as appropriate.
  • Managing and routing incoming faxes and patient emails
  • Provide multidisciplinary support.

What You Need To Be Considered...

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Minimum age of 21 depending on program and / or department requirements.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for all Damar Programs as detailed in policy 1.HR.02 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.
  • Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical required.

:Â Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
