Barrett Hospital & HealthCare in Dillon, MT is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to perform receptionist and clerical duties, greet visitors, and provide information to patients in person or by phone. The role includes managing a multi-line phone system, interviewing patients for account information, and verifying insurance coverage in the EMR.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service excellence, strong communication skills, and enjoy working with the public.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years healthcare experience and/or training preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide general information to patients in person or by phone.
• Maintain the multi-line phone system and handle inquiries.
• Interview patients for pertinent account information and verify insurance coverage/eligibility.
• Enter new patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Protect patient, physician, and employee privacy in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.

The Patient Services Coordinator provides a full range of receptionist and clerical supportive services including greeting visitors, providing general information to patients either in person or on the telephone, maintains the mulit-phone line system, interviews patients for pertinent account information, verifies patient insurance coverage/eligibility, and enters new patient information into the electronic medical record. The Patient Services Coordinator protects the privacy of patients, physicians and employees in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will have a passion for customer service excellence, possess a high standard of communication skills, and enjoy working with the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
• A minimum of one to three years related healthcare experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
