UPMC Corporate Services is hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative to support UPMC Muncy. The role involves welcoming patients, guiding them through self-check-in or desk check-in, collecting copayments, updating registrations, and scheduling follow-ups within the care continuum.

Responsibilities also include assisting with ancillary scheduling, helping patients navigate the healthcare system, and promoting MyUPMC portal registration while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with self-arrival technology or desk check-in.
• Collect copayments and any applicable patient payments at the point of service.
• Verify and update patient registration information at checkout.
• Schedule follow-up appointments within the practice at checkout.
• Connect patients to resources to schedule ancillary services at checkout.
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system with clear, understandable guidance.
• Provide follow-up for unresolved questions to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote patient portal usage and assist with registration when applicable.
• Verify insurance benefits with carriers via online systems or phone calls.
• Obtain signatures for consent to treatment and financial responsibility per HIPAA rules.
• Distribute/triage calls to other areas or providers as needed.
• Support administrative duties like scanning medical records and faxing.
• Stay informed on navigation and usability of the UPMC Patient Portal to ensure a smooth experience.
