Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year healthcare setting experience or six months in a UPMC Patient Access position preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required.
• Initiative to work productively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and maintain the First Net Emergency Department Tracking Board and Hospital ADT system.
• Register patients accurately in ADT or clinical systems during downtime and ensure data integrity.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and coordinate benefits for seamless billing.
• Counsel patients on insurance coverage and collect co-pays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
