Job summary

UPMC University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative to support the University OB/GYN team. Hours are Monday–Friday, daylight hours with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Location is Magee Women’s Hospital with some travel to community sites as needed. The role focuses on welcoming patients, explaining copayments, collecting payments, scheduling, updating records, and guiding patients through the MyUPMC portal, ensuring a smooth patient experience

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate patient check-in and payment systems

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly on arrival and assist with check-in
• Collect copayments and payments at point of service
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details
• Schedule follow-up appointments and facilitate access to ancillary services
• Promote and assist with MyUPMC portal enrollment and usage
• Triage and route patient calls to appropriate clinical areas
• Support administrative tasks such as scanning records and faxing
