Unity Eye Centers Inc is seeking a Patient Services staff member in Norfolk, NE to ensure accurate patient and exam information, post payments, and maintain positive patient communication. The role supports a smooth patient flow and requires HIPAA compliance, strong customer service, and solid data entry into the EHR system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Above average knowledge in health science, math, and Microsoft Office.
• Previous medical office experience and knowledge in medical coding/billing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the Unity standards through exceptional customer service.
• Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner.
• Verify chart documentation and insurance information; post payments and file clean claims; authorize insurance and billing, schedule referrals, and enter data into EHR.
• Perform end-of-day tasks: balance cash drawer, deposits, verify data, and submit end-of-day packet.
• Monitor patient flow, communicate delays.
• Respond to patient inquiries about billing, procedures, and services.
• Evaluate and support new technology and equipment implementation.
• Maintain a safe, clean office environment.
• Ensure HIPAA confidentiality and compliance with policies.
• Support compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards of care.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Practice Manager and doctors.
