Job summary

Davis Eye Center is seeking a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and manage billing-related tasks in a fast-paced medical office.

The role focuses on delivering a positive, patient-centered experience while supporting clinical and administrative teams. Training is provided to ensure quality service and accurate record-keeping in the EHR system.

Qualifications

• Prior office experience is beneficial, but not required, as we have a comprehensive training program.
• Positive attitude and patient-focused experience as highlighted in the posting.
• We provide a comprehensive training program for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, assist in patient communications and recalls
• Respond to patient inquiries about billing, procedures, policies and available services
• Prepare patient chart prior to appointment and complete upon patient arrival
• Efficiently process patients through check out by verifying chart documentation and insurance information, posting payments, filing clean claims, and entering data into the EHR
• Perform end of day tasks, including balancing cash drawer and submitting essential reports
• Monitor patient flow, communicate delays
• Provide a safe and clean office environment
• Perform other duties as directed by the office manager and doctors
