Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for our Sunrise, FL outpatient physical therapy center. This front desk role handles patient registration, scheduling, and payment processes to ensure a smooth visit and positive care experience.

The position is PRN/Per diem with a Monday-Friday schedule, varying hours, and a compensation range of $16-$18 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include 401k eligibility after 1,000 hours within the first anniversary year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience.
• 1 Year of Front Desk Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
