Job summary

Covenant Health's Oliver Springs Family Physicians is seeking a Patient Service Representative to provide administrative coverage at the checkout, collect encounter data, and balance daily transactions.

The role requires at least 1 year in a medical office with scheduling and billing experience; familiarity with ICD-9/10 and CPT-4 coding; and strong teamwork with patients and care teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative coverage for the patient service functions related to the check-out operations.
• Collect and process encounter form data and outstanding balances.
• Balance work and computer at end of day.
• Schedule appointments for return visits and end of day procedures.
• Collaborate with the patient, physician, and other care team members as part of a team-based approach to patient care.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and safety standards; participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
