Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) for our Ortho location in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role (40 hours/week) requires front desk coverage, patient greeting, appointment scheduling, and EPIC registration, with travel between locations and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include answering calls, verifying insurance, processing charges, and providing general clinic support. A high school diploma or GED is required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Keyboard and computer skills required.
• A valid driver's license required if off-site duties.
• If personal vehicle used, evidence of liability coverage may be requested.
• Preferred: experience in medical office or healthcare settings; understanding of medical terminology.

Hourly Pay Range

$18.76 - $27.20 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Ortho Location: Arlington Heights, IL Full Time: 40 hours/weekly Office Hours: Varies Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Includes Rotating Weekends and floating locations. Required Travel: For coverage purposes to our Kildeer Office

What you will do:

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides front desk coverage.
• Answers incoming calls, schedules appointments, greets patients, registers new patients in EPIC, schedules laboratory and off-site diagnostic tests requested by physician, verifies insurance eligibility and interprets covered benefits.
• Processes patient charges by totaling fees, applying insurance coverage, calculating adjustments, and receiving and recording payments in computer system.
• Clinic set-up and other office support.

What you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Keyboard and computer skills
• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location.
• If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
• Preferred:
• A minimum of three months previous business office OR healthcare based experience
• Previous insurance, managed care, and integrative medicine experience preferred
• Medical terminology or coding experience
• Bilingual Spanish helpful, but not required
