Endeavor Health in Elmhurst/ Addison area is seeking a Patient Service Representative (Neurology) to join a fast-paced clinic. You will greet patients, register them in EPIC, schedule tests, and verify benefits while handling phone inquiries and front-desk duties.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, solid computer skills, and the ability to travel to different sites as needed. Prior healthcare or insurance experience is a plus, with bilingual Spanish helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license may be required for off-site locations.
• Evidence of automobile liability coverage if using a personal vehicle.
• Preferred: 3+ months in business office or healthcare experience.
• Previous insurance, managed care, or integrative medicine experience preferred.
• Medical terminology or coding experience is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, greet patients, and register new patients in EPIC.

Hourly Pay Range: $18.76 - $27.20 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Neurology
• Location: 1200 S York Street in Elmhurst and 303 W Lake Street in Addison
• Full Time: 36 hours a week
• Office Hours: Rotating shifts Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM, and 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. No Holiday Eves, On-Call, or Rotating Weekends.
• Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do

• Answers incoming calls, schedules appointments, greets patients, registers new patients in EPIC, schedules laboratory and off-site diagnostic tests requested by physician, verifies insurance eligibility and interprets covered benefits.
• Processes patient charges by totaling fees, applying insurance coverage, calculating adjustments, and receiving and recording payments in computer system.
• Clinic set-up and other office support.

What you will need

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Keyboard and computer skills
• A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location.
• If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
• Preferred: A minimum of three months previous business office OR healthcare based experience
• Previous insurance, managed care, and integrative medicine experience preferred
• Medical terminology or coding experience
• Bilingual Spanish helpful, but not required
