Job Description

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) supports our service area by checking patients in and out of appointments, demonstrating exemplary customer service, and assisting with various administrative duties.

Responsibilities:
  1. Greet patients and guests, confirm their identity, and provide visit information.
  2. Complete check-in/out procedures.
  3. Update patient demographic and insurance information.
  4. Register patients as needed.
  5. Obtain patient consents and authorizations.
  6. Collect co-payments, past due balances, and point-of-service payments.
  7. Post payments, process billing, and perform end-of-day cash drawer balancing.
  8. Maintain a clean and comfortable waiting area.
  9. Inform patients of delays or appointment changes.
  10. Schedule appointments as necessary.
  11. For PSRs in the Immediate Care Clinics, float to other clinics/departments as needed.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 0-2 years of customer service experience.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Bilingual abilities.
