Job Description

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, consultations, procedures, and surgeries by phone, email, and in person.
• Manage provider schedules to support the efficient use of both provider and patient time.
• Communicate with providers, clinical teams, and other staff members to confirm availability and coordinate patient care.
• Reschedule appointments as needed based on patient needs, provider availability, or changes in the clinical schedule.
• Provide patients with appointment details, preparation instructions, and other relevant information.
• Confirm upcoming appointments and send reminders to help reduce cancellations and no-shows.
• Manage waiting lists and assist with accommodating urgent or time-sensitive appointment requests.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and respond promptly and professionally to patient questions and requests.
• Verify insurance coverage and accurately document relevant insurance information when required.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate patient demographic, scheduling, and insurance information in the electronic health record and scheduling systems.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements and all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient daily operations.
• Provide courteous, compassionate, and professional service during every patient interaction.
