Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles Health seeks a Patient Service Representative to provide administrative and patient support for assigned physicians, acting as the main contact for patients throughout their care journey.

You will liaise between patients, providers, and referring physicians, help patients access services, coordinate referrals and follow-up care, and obtain insurance authorizations. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Description

In this role, you will provide administrative and patient support for assigned physicians and serve as a key point of contact for patients throughout their care journey. Responsibilities include acting as a liaison between patients, providers, and referring physicians; assisting patients with accessing services across the health system; coordinating referrals and follow-up care; obtaining, verifying, and securing required insurance authorizations; and providing timely communication through phone and Epic/Care Connect. The Patient Service Representative works collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support care coordination, ensure a positive patient experience, and facilitate efficient access to care and specialty services.

Salary range: $31.88-$45.66

Preferred

• Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows
• Working knowledge of patient related policies and procedures as well as a thorough understanding of the University system and it services and programs
• Knowledge of hospital computer system, and personal computer systems and the various software products to perform administrative work.
• Familiarity and knowledge of authorization process & managed care programs
